Does it work in Excel, Outlook, and our practice software?
Yes. Dictate types in any focused text field, including Excel, Outlook, browsers, and practice tools. There is no integration to configure.
Where do my client’s financial details go?
Audio travels over TLS, is transcribed, then discarded. It is never stored or used for training. History keeps transcript text and metadata, not recordings.
Will it spell client names and our terms correctly?
Add client names and firm terminology to the glossary. Dictate uses those spellings without voice training.
Is there a free trial?
No. It’s $8/month from day one. Cancel whenever; access runs to the end of what you paid for.
Can I get a refund?
If you have not transcribed anything, email support@dictates.app for a full refund. Once you use the service, the month is committed.
Can I use it on my office and home Macs?
Yes. Sign in with the same email on each Mac. The 40-hour monthly allowance is shared, and dictation pauses if you reach it.
