Panel 1

The call ends. Hold the key down.

Panel 2

Say the note the way you’d dictate it to a person.

Panel 3 · the note

Attendance note · call with client, 14 min.

Advised on the settlement range discussed. Client to consider and revert by Friday. Follow-up letter to opposing side to go out tomorrow.

Let go. The note is in the matter while the call is still fresh.

Ch. 02 · A day’s dictation

Legal dictation, without the handoff.

Speak notes and letters directly into the app where they belong.

Attendance notes, while it’s fresh

Speak the note after the call, in your own words, directly into the file before the details fade.

Letters, before court

Dictate the letter into Word the way you’d say it aloud. Read it once, sign it, move on.

Names and terms of art, spelled right

Add client names, party names, and matter terminology to the glossary once. Dictate uses those spellings next time.

The hour goes back to real work

Speak the note between meetings instead of typing it from memory at the end of the day.

Ch. 03 · Confidentiality

Spoken. Typed. Gone.

Here is what happens after you speak.

Transcribed, then discarded

Audio travels over TLS, becomes text, and is discarded when the request finishes. It is not stored or used for training.

The transcript stays with you

The text lands where your cursor is. Account-backed history keeps transcript text and metadata synced across your Macs, never the recording.

Two permissions

Dictate asks for Microphone and Accessibility access. It does not request Screen Recording or access to your files.

Questions

Need anything else? Email support@dictates.app.

Is my client’s audio stored anywhere?

No. Audio travels over TLS, is transcribed, then discarded. It is never stored or used for training. History keeps transcript text and metadata, not recordings.

Does it work in Word, Outlook, and our case-management system?

Yes. Dictate types in any focused text field, including Word, Outlook, browsers, and case-management tools. There is no integration to configure.

Do I have to train it on my voice?

No. Speak normally and add client names, party names, and legal terms to the glossary for consistent spelling.

Is there a free trial?

No. It’s $8/month from day one. Cancel whenever; access runs to the end of what you paid for.

Can I get a refund?

If you have not transcribed anything, email support@dictates.app for a full refund. Once you use the service, the month is committed.

Can the whole firm share one subscription?

A subscription covers one person on all their Macs. Each colleague needs a separate $8 monthly subscription.

Say it while it’s fresh.

The call just ended. Hold a key and put it on the record.
