Notes this
sensitive
shouldn’t leave
a recording.

Panel 1

Hold the key. Say what actually happened.

Panel 2

Your voice exists only for the seconds it takes to become text.

Panel 3 — the note

Case note — meeting held today, 25 min.

Concerns raised were acknowledged. Agreed next steps and a follow-up in two weeks; support options shared in writing.

The recording no longer exists. The note is on your screen — and nowhere else.

Ch. 02 — Before anything else

What happens to a sensitive sentence.

You’ll be saying names, grievances, and health matters out loud. So this chapter comes first.

Nothing recorded is retained

Your audio travels over an encrypted connection and is discarded the moment it becomes text. It is never stored, and never used to train anything.

The transcript stays put

The text lands in your history on your Mac and never leaves it unless you paste it somewhere. No portal, no shared archive, no copy we keep.

Two permissions, and you can check

Microphone and Accessibility — the two things dictation needs, and nothing else. It never sees your screen or your files. Open System Settings and hold us to it.

Ch. 03 — The casework

Written the way you said it.

Half the job is writing down what happened, carefully. The writing is what Dictate takes off your hands.

Casework notes, while the wording is exact

After a difficult conversation, the precise words matter. Speak the note straight away — what was said, what was agreed, what happens next — before the day sands the edges off your memory.

Review feedback that sounds like you

Say the feedback the way you’d say it across the table. It lands in the review form with the filler dropped.

Policy drafts at talking pace

The blank page is the slow part. Talk the policy through into Word or Google Docs, then edit like you normally would.

Interview debriefs between interviews

Speak your impressions into the hiring tool while the candidate is still walking to the lift — not from thin notes at five o’clock.

Back cover

Eight dollars. Same for everyone.

One flat plan — a policy you could publish without a single footnote.

Before you commit

Asked by careful buyers.

Straight answers, policy included. Anything else: support@dictates.app.

Is anything I say kept anywhere?

The recording isn’t. Your audio is discarded the moment it becomes text — never stored, never used to train anything. The text lands on your Mac and stays there unless you paste it somewhere.

Can anyone else read my notes?

Your dictation history lives on your Mac. There’s no web portal showing your transcripts and no shared archive. Where the text ends up is decided by you, in whatever tool you paste or dictate it into.

Does it work in our HR system?

Dictate types where your cursor is, so it works anywhere you can type — your HR tools in the browser, Word, Outlook, everywhere else on your Mac. Nothing to connect, nothing to configure.

Is there a free trial?

No. It’s $8/month from day one. Cancel whenever; access runs to the end of what you paid for.

Can I get a refund?

Subscribed and changed your mind before using it? Email support@dictates.app and the month is refunded in full. Once you’ve transcribed something, the month is committed.

Can I use it on my work and home Macs?

Yes. Activate each with the same email. The 40-hour monthly allowance is shared across them; if you ever run through it, dictation pauses until your month resets — no surprise charges.

Write it while it’s true.

The note in your own words, a minute after it happened. No tape left behind.
