Is anything I say kept anywhere?
No. Audio is discarded when the request completes and is never used for training. History keeps transcript text and metadata, not recordings.
Can anyone else read my notes?
History is tied to your account and syncs transcript text and metadata across your Macs. The inserted text stays in the app where you dictate it.
Does it work in our HR system?
Yes. Dictate types in any focused text field, including browser-based HR tools, Word, and Outlook. There is no integration to configure.
Is there a free trial?
No. It’s $8/month from day one. Cancel whenever; access runs to the end of what you paid for.
Can I get a refund?
If you have not transcribed anything, email support@dictates.app for a full refund. Once you use the service, the month is committed.
Can I use it on my work and home Macs?
Yes. Sign in with the same email on each Mac. The 40-hour monthly allowance is shared, and dictation pauses if you reach it.
